KEMPA HOME 10 Year Manufacturer's Mattress Warranty
Thank you for purchasing a Kempa Home mattress! We are excited to welcome you as a new Kempa Home mattress owner and value your trust in us. We know you will enjoy the promise of comfortable, strength-renewing rest tonight and every night for years to come.
We encourage you to protect your investment by keeping your proof of purchase documents in a safe place to support the 10-Year Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty you receive with your new Kempa Home mattress.
What This Warranty Covers
Kempa Home warrants, to the original purchaser, that this mattress will provide use, free from defects in workmanship and materials, for a period of ten years (10 years) from the initial date of purchase.
For warranty purposes, “defective” is defined as:
- A mattress core exhibiting separation of the laminated components.
- An area of compression in excess of 1 inch when compared with edge height when the mattress is placed on a solid, flat surface.
- Cover failure associated with defective materials or faulty workmanship.
How to File a Warranty Claim
If you believe your mattress or cover is defective, contact Kempa Home Customer Support at support@kempahome.com.
If the mattress or mattress component is found to be defective within ten years of the initial date of purchase, Kempa Home will, at its sole option, repair or replace it with a new one without charge, exclusive of shipping and handling costs.
Normal Conditions of Use
To maintain warranty coverage, the Kempa Home mattress must be used under normal conditions, which include:
- Proper Foundation Support: The mattress must be used on a solid deck bed, platform, or foundation that provides sufficient support to prevent sagging or structural damage. Use on an improper base, such as a slatted frame with gaps greater than 2 inches, may void the warranty.
- Appropriate Cleaning Methods: Covers must be cleaned/disinfected using proper dilutions of a standard commercial hospital-type disinfectant only. The use of non-standard dilutions or harsh chemicals, including bleach, will invalidate the warranty.
- High Concentrations of Chlorine Bleach: High concentrations of chlorine bleach and/or chlorinated disinfectants will degrade the textile surface. Damage associated with the accumulated build-up of chlorine ions will invalidate the warranty. When chlorine-based cleaning products are used, they must be thoroughly rinsed with clear water after the required wet contact period.
- Laundering Precautions: Covers may be laundered only according to the instructions provided. Damage resulting from high-temperature laundry and/or drying will invalidate the warranty.
- Cover Integrity: The cover is zippered around the bottom perimeter for manufacturing purposes only and should not be removed. Washing or removal of the cover will void your warranty.
- Environmental Conditions: The mattress should be kept in a temperature-controlled indoor environment, free from excessive moisture, humidity, or direct sunlight exposure. Exposure to extreme conditions may compromise the integrity of the materials and void the warranty.
- Protection from Physical Damage: The mattress must be protected from mechanical tearing, puncturing, cutting, or abrasion. Any damage resulting from sharp objects, pet claws, or improper handling will invalidate the warranty. The cover must remain intact and in use at all times. Continued use of a mattress with a damaged, soiled, or excessively worn cover will void the mattress core warranty.
- Use of Protective Bedding: It is highly recommended to use a mattress protector to prevent stains, spills, and excessive wear, ensuring the longevity of the mattress.
- Compliance with Manufacturer’s Instructions: Any deviation from the recommended care and usage guidelines may void the warranty.
Warranty Limitations & Exclusions
- It is normal for mattress material to become softer over time. It is also normal for the mattress to develop a faster deflection recovery rate. Neither of these factors results in deterioration of normal pressure redistribution function and are not considered defects.
- Repair or replacement of the mattress does not extend this warranty or begin a new warranty period.
- When making a claim under this warranty, you will be required to produce photo evidence and an acceptable copy of proof of purchase.
- Freight costs to and from the authorized repair facility are the responsibility of the mattress owner.
- This warranty is non-transferable and is only valid for the original purchaser.
- Claims for incidental damages or losses are specifically excluded from this warranty.
- Kempa Home is not responsible for any costs related to shipping or handling for warranty claims.
This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
